The Jack JumperTM has no moving parts to fail and utilizes a stainless steel external spring to provide many years of trouble free field service. Recent product enhancements include lighter weight and less tensile force exerted on the top and bottom bracketry of the power fuse assembly. The Jack JumperTM utilizes a stainless steel external spring to provide many years of trouble free field service. To service a 200 Amp cutout simply add a second Jack JumperTM to the opposite cutout horn.
The Jack JumperTM permits a safe and quick method to bypass a SMD-20 38 kV rated power fuse without use of bulky jumper cables. With the use of a shotgun stick place one end of the Jack JumperTM on the arcing horn of the power fuse. Pull down on the other end of the Jack Jumper and secure to the cradle end of the power fuse. The bypass has been established! This Jack JumperTM comes equipped with an outer fiberglass insulation jacket to prevent accidental grounding during installation. The Jack Jumper saves linemen time (dollars), eliminates risk of service interruption and prevents accidental cross phasing.
